Conscientes del compromiso con la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, dentro del Marco de su Plan de Desarrollo Institucional y su Visión al 2020, de acuerdo con su Modelo Educativo y el Modelo Académico de Posgrado, la Facultad de Ciencias Biológicas ofrece tres Programas de Maestría en Ciencias y cuatro de Doctorado en Ciencias de alto nivel, siendo los siguientes:

La Facultad cuenta con convenios de colaboración con instituciones educativas de prestigio mundial, la iniciativa privada, organizaciones gubernamentales, organismos no gubernamentales y diferentes estratos sociales.
Iniciativa privada
Diversas empresas han sido copartícipes en esta función social al establecer convenios para el desarrollo de prácticas profesionales, servicio social, educación continua, y proyectos profesionales directamente para el apoyo de necesidades directas de las empresas. Los productos de estos convenios han sido tan variados como el beneficio de una mejor formación de nuestros estudiantes al enfrentarlos directamente con su campo de trabajo. Además, la retroalimentación de esta interacción ha permitido establecer estrategias en la modificación de los planes de estudio.
otro beneficio directo es la solución de necesidades reales de la industria, y en algunos casos la generación de recursos canalizados directamente a los profesores, personal de apoyo y laboratorios participantes con el beneficio directo de los programas educativos. Como ejemplos de Vinculación con el sector Productivo, donde éste programa de posgrado ha participado, se encuentran los realizados con 3M, bioMerieux, GoJo Industries, Hospital Muguerza, CerverceríaCuauhtemos-Moctezuma-Heineken, entre otros.
Nuestro programa mantiene una estrecha colaboración con organismos e instituciones educativas de prestigio internacional, con las cuales colabora en investigación, intercambio de estudiantes y profesores, y en la impartición de cursos ya sea en forma virtual o presencial. Entre esas instituciones, se encuentran el Departamento de Agricultura de EUA, la Administración de Drogas y Alimentos (FDA) de EUA, la Universidad de Massachusetts, la Universidad de Emory, la Universidad Estatal del North Carolina, la Universidad de Harvard, la Universidad de Minnesota, la Universidad de Cornell, la Universidad de Basel entre muchas otras.
En el marco de la educación continua, se han impartido cursos de diversas especialidades incluyendo biotecnología, microbiología, inmunología. De particular importancia se organiza o participa en la organización de eventos tales como el Taller Latinoamericano de Métodos de Diagnostico Microbiológico Moderno, el Simposio de Sida, el Congreso Internacional Inocuidad Alimentaria, Talleres de Bioinformática, entre otros, los cuales se realizan de forma anual. Por otra parte se ofrecen cursos en línea disponibles a la sociedad, que abordan diversos temas, directamente desde la página web de la dependencia.http://www.fcb.uanl.mx/nw/es/
Esta interacción con los distintos sectores sociales ha sido una fortaleza del programa que le ha permitido una buena oportunidad de retroalimentación para enfocarse en el marco de las necesidades que estos sectores demandan.
